Eric has a background in both the utility and software industries. As a program manager at PSE&G he helped manage over $1B in demand side management programs, and as an engineer in the financial services industry he helped companies like Morgan Stanley, Commerzbank and others build and manage their trading infrastructure. He has a masters degree in Energy Management and Policy from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. When he's not thinking about how software can be used to improve the delivery of clean energy programs, he enjoys sailing and spending time exploring various neighborhoods and restaurants off the beaten path in New York City.
Jason Kaplan has extensive experience in the financing and management of renewable energy assets. Previously, Jason was the General Counsel and Head of Policy at United Wind, where he led all legal and advocacy work related to United Wind's distributed wind energy business including corporate governance and lobbying, as well as overseeing $200M+ raised in project and corporate finance from global energy corporates like Statoil, Total, and TEPCO. Jason graduated from Vermont Law School, cum laude with a joint degree in law and masters in environmental law and policy, and Colgate University, cum laude B.A. Geology.
Nick heads up business development efforts at PowerMarket after spending time with an Icelandic company doing geothermal and solar project development around the globe. He graduated with his Masters in Energy, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School in London. Although he played professional baseball while living in Ireland, his baseball talents are mediocre at best.
Danielle brings over a decade of experience in solar energy consulting. The clients she has advised include solar developers, tax equity providers, banks, and state and local governments. In addition to consulting, Danielle brings strong expertise in project management and operations. Danielle graduated from the University of Massachusetts (Masters) and Boston University.
Mahvish supports operations and business development at PowerMarket. Previously, Mahvish was the Director of Finance and Operations at Dvinci Energy where she focused on operations, business development, sales, and finance. Prior to working in clean energy, Mahvish was in the financial industry with a concentration in derivatives pricing and valuations. Mahvish has a Bachelors of Finance from the Rutgers Business School and completed a diploma in Clean Energy from NYU. Mahvish has traveled to over 30 countries but still hasn't found a suitable replacement for home.
Kathryn supports business development and policy research and analysis at PowerMarket. Previously, she was a policy research intern at Energy and Environmental Economics (E3) in San Francisco. She has a BA from New York University majoring in Public Policy with a focus on Environmental Studies. She grew up in Hong Kong and hopes to one day work on renewable energy at an international scale.
Sam joined PowerMarket in 2017, focusing on account management, asset management and business development. Prior to working at PowerMarket, Sam was a project development analyst at SunPower where he helped build out SunPower's east coast commercial & industrial solar portfolio. Sam also worked at Solaire Generation, where he specialized in business development and design of solar parking structures in the commercial & industrial solar markets. Sam received his bachelors degree at Columbia University, with a special concentration in Sustainable Development through the Earth Institute.
Kelly supports PowerMarket's Business Development and Operations teams among many other things. She's a recent graduate of Colgate University, where she studied Mathematical Economics and Environmental Studies. When Kelly is not working for PowerMarket or studying, she enjoys going on walks in scenic central NY and cooking new vegan recipes.
Fuquan supports the Business & Operations Team where he primarily focuses on billing and reporting. Prior to PowerMarket, Fuquan spent the last 3-6 years working for Ansell Healthcare and Sysco Food Services in FP&A, where he focused on improving processes for sales, expenses and reporting. Fuquan earned a BS in Finance from Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business at William Paterson University. When he isn't creating reports, you can find him being the best plant dad he can be or hanging out with loved ones.
Collin joins PowerMarket to help the account management team and to work with various stakeholders within PowerMarket’s Community Solar and ESG value-chains. Prior to PowerMarket, Collin studied Economics at Penn State and received his MBA from Georgetown University with a certificate in sustainable business practices. During his professional career, he has worked in solar project development in Tokyo, Japan, Washington D.C, and various other locations across the US. When not at work, Collin enjoys scuba diving and traveling to new locations for sightseeing.
Sondra joins PowerMarket eager to support the Business & Operations team as a Financial Analyst. She received a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science at Binghamton University. Prior to joining the team, she worked as an Actuarial Analyst for over 2 years, and transitioned to being a Financial Analyst in 2021. The one thing Sondra loves more than numbers and Excel is her Golden Retriever, Goose. He is named after Top Gun because he is her sidekick, but more importantly because he also looks great in Aviator sunglasses.
Patrick is an accomplished software developer at PowerMarket. He studied Computer Science at LAGCC and Actuarial Science at Baruch College before finally settling on a Computer System Technology degree from The City College of New York. He enjoys playing video / PC games. After becoming a father he is no longer the core DPS in his WOW guild, but is now a very talented baby sitter of his two young children.
Kishan is a front-end software engineer at PowerMarket. He has a computer science degree from Columbia University, where he focused on intelligent systems and human-computer interaction. When he's not coding, you can find him experimenting with photography, videography, and digital art. Or in the office kitchen whipping up a mean PB&J.
Max supports PowerMarket as an important member of the software engineering team. He is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and recently completed degrees in computer science and film at Hunter College / Macaulay Honors College. His passions are in using tech for good, screenwriting, and language technology. When he's not dreaming up new programming languages, Max moonlights as an amateur urbanist.
As Director of Community Energy at PowerMarket, Brad works with municipalities and community partners to deploy renewable energy solutions in both governments operations and in the community at large. Prior to joining PowerMarket, Brad worked for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) where he developed and managed NYSERDA’s Clean Energy Communities program. Prior to NYSERDA, Brad spent more than a decade working in local government for both the City of Yonkers and Nassau County on sustainability and clean energy initiatives.
Kay is part of the outreach team in Maine, making new friends every day in Maine's businesses and communities and introducing them to the benefits of community solar. Before this, Kay was the outreach coordinator for the Maine Green Power program, sponsored by the Maine Public Utilities Commission. She holds a BA in International Affairs from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has also worked as a teacher, counselor and marketing manager. She speaks several languages. When she is not fretting about climate change and what we need to do about it, she is fretting some wicked cunnin' old time tunes on her mandolin, or enjoying Maine's great outdoors on a bike, kayak or skiis.
Leland is the co-founder of an environmental organization, called DC Doesn't Suck, which advocates for the reduction of single-use plastics. Previously, he was Director of Sales for Ipsun Solar. He also completed a graduate certificate from Harvard University's Sustainability program and holds a B.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University. Leland brings years of organizing, sales, and marketing experience to PowerMarket.
In 2013, Dianne received her Bachelor's degree in Finance from Essex County College and has studied Technology Management from Staten Island University in 2018. Prior to working at PowerMarket Dianne handled training and development of Customer and Technical support with Altice USA for almost 10 years. With her vast experience she was then promoted to the Corporate Executive Escalations Division where she handled issues with the Attorney General's office, Federal Communications Commission, Public Service Commission and Department of Utilities. In her spare time, Dianne participates in animal rescue programs such as Staten Island Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and NYC food drives for the homeless. Most recently, she traveled back to her hometown of Dorado, Puerto Rico where she volunteered with Habitat For Humanity to assist local communities due to natural disasters.
Rebekah has made a career in customer service and thrives on delivering client experiences that are rooted in empathy and a passion for problem-solving. An incurable theatre nerd, Rebekah performed onstage professionally for many years. She is also a yoga teacher and children’s theatre educator. Her experience has led her to be the resident choreographer and dance teacher at several young artists’ theatre camps in Washington State, where she is originally from. Rebekah is delighted to now be a part of the PowerMarket team, where she gets to combine her excitement for renewable energy with her background in education and customer service. Rebekah does her best thinking while in motion, so you can bet that she will either be dancing or walking in a figure-eight while processing every detail of the customer inquiry at hand.
Patricia joined the PowerMarket Support team in 2021 and is delighted to be a part of the drive toward alternative energy. A native New Yorker, she hails from a long career in customer service and sales in high end home furnishings retail and is dedicated to the highest standards of customer experience taking it on as a personal challenge. She has been a staunch environmentalist before it was au courant. Patricia keeps up with environmental news and subscribes to select environmental newsletters. She enjoys talking to subscribers in her role, but don’t be surprised if she drops a word or two in one of the foreign languages she speaks, having travelled internationally and lived abroad in three different countries. If you're looking for Patricia on a Saturday morning, she'll be at the dance studio taking her beloved ballet class with live piano accompaniment. She also loves to cook and bake!
Born and raised in a Long Island beach town, Katie is passionate about protecting natural resources. As a young adult, she started working with local environmental nonprofits. Upon graduating from Stony Brook University, Katie caught the travel bug and moved to Washington, DC for an internship in the clean energy field. After that she relocated to Hawaii to work as a park ranger for a few years, and then followed that up with a season at Glacier National Park. Katie has always believed that healing people and healing the environment are two sides of the same coin, so for the past few years, she has worked as a victim advocate. Although she has a zest for travel, Katie is happy to get back to her roots in the environmental movement in New York. In her spare time, you might find her falling off a surfboard or staring at a sunset.
Olivia joined PowerMarket in 2020. She thoroughly enjoys her time educating folks about the Maine Community Solar program, sustainability and clean energy. Born and raised in southern Maine, Olivia started out canvassing for environmental groups in the area and loved every minute of it. After college, she worked as an outreach associate promoting the Maine Green Power Program. Olivia thrives in an environment where she is able to spark passion for environmental stewardship, which is the reason she studied environmental studies and sociology in school. She balanced her studies with her time playing center on the Dartmouth College women’s basketball team. Her go-to move is a dream shake followed by a baby hook, just don’t ask her to shoot a three.
Chris has extensive experience managing software integrations within the energy industry, having previously managed the development of the Victorian Government's carbon abatement certificate trading platform in his native Melbourne, Australia. He has a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Melbourne. He's an avid Hawthorn Hawks supporter, but no one is entirely sure who they are.
