What drew you to clean energy?
I have always been passionate about the environment and sustainability. At Colgate University, I minored in Environmental Studies and those courses really solidified my decision to pursue a career in the sustainability industry. After taking a course on renewable energy technologies, I thought that a career in clean energy would not only be interesting but also a tangible way for me to have an impact on our carbon footprint.

How long have you been at PowerMarket and how did you first hear about the company?
I have been at PowerMarket for over a year but I interned before that for about 6 months. I first heard about PowerMarket from finding Jason (PowerMarket's COO) through our Colgate alumni network on LinkedIn. Since I had previous work experience at a community solar provider, we started talking about PowerMarket’s mission and we got along very well. After speaking with Jason once, I knew I wanted to work for the company.

How did you enjoy being an intern at PowerMarket? What was something that you learned as an intern?
I really value my experience at PowerMarket as an intern. I was given real work responsibilities from the start and exposure in the industry as a whole. It was a great experience for me to begin my career into the clean energy industry while finishing my last semester of undergrad.

What made you want to stay at PowerMarket full time?
I enjoyed the work and PowerMarket’s mission. I learned so much from everyone around me - our team is not only fun, but also so intelligent, motivated, and supportive. I knew that I was learning a lot and I could see myself continue to grow by working with the PowerMarket team. I also appreciate how community solar is constantly growing and the different programs are continuously evolving and improving. It is exciting to be in a constantly changing industry while also helping people across the country save each month on their electricity.

What does your day to day look like now? What makes you excited to come to work every morning?
My job entails managing most of our acquisition efforts across various projects, states, and clients. I really enjoy that I get to work closely with so many of our account managers and our various clients. In my position I also get great exposure into all of the different nuances of each market which has been interesting to learn and master. Ultimately, I am excited to come to work every morning to work with and continue to learn from everyone at PowerMarket.

What’s something that most people don’t know about you?
I love my dogs, I like to cook, and I love the outdoors.
